Tortugas Parrita is a sea turtle hatchery and research site on Isla Palo Seco in Parrita, Costa Rica. We are a permitted and sanctioned by SINAC and University of Cost Rica to collect eggs from nesting turtles, relocate them to our secure hatchery and then release them once hatched.
Our Mission
1) To support sea turtle conservation through a hatchery and nest relocation management program.
2) Support student research in sea life conservation.
3) Engage the local primary school through educational programs like the junior researcher program.
4) Engage in the local community to teach general conservation practices and become active in conservation.

Turtles are nesting from May to November
